The Govex trades in participation units which have a starting value (at inception) of R100 000.

The Govex mirrors the performance of the GOVI as closely as possible by purchasing and holding government bonds in the same proportion as represented in the GOVI.

The Govex is rebalanced monthly, simultaneous with the rebalancing of the GOVI.

The GOVI is a total return index that automatically re-invests all coupons. The Govex mirrors this by automatically re-investing coupon payments as received.
