In 1997 Catalyst Innovation was established as a seed financier of technologically innovative businesses.

We believed that:

• There is a need for a small, independent and dynamic firm incorporating the highest standards of professionalism and integrity with innovative solutions to client problems.

• That gifted and entrepreneurial individuals with strong institutional credibility would join a firm with a more personal setting and congruent goals, to create businesses in which they had a considerable equity stake, and in which they were prepared to risk their own capital.

• Our innovation in financing combined with our experience in the management of businesses would both benefit the country and encourage the development of profitable businesses.

Catalyst’s success in pursuing these beliefs led to our growth and expansion through the establishment of a full range of investment and advisory services - The Clade Group.

The name Clade reflects our focus on organic yet innovative growth, both on our behalf and on behalf of our clients and investee companies. It is it is derived from the Greek word “Kladus”, meaning “to sprout or bud” - and is a root word used in modern evolutionary biology to describe successful adaptation to the environment through innovation and the multiplication of new species. This name reflects both our high level of innovation in finance, management and investment; and our commitment to actively growing and propagating both our clients and our investee companies.
